Virtual care through MD Connected allows patients to book consultations online and speak with a specialist through phone or secure video appointments. This helps those who struggle to leave the house for a regular doctor’s appointment or simply lack access to a family physician, have a more relaxing consultation experience.

If you’re not comfortable connecting with a doctor virtually or require a more in-depth physical examination, MD Connected is expanding our services to provide in person doctors at various locations. MD Connected currently has 2 locations with doctors on-site with many more coming soon.

Our newest clinic is located inside Emkiro Health Services in heart of downtown Toronto and was launched at the beginning of 2022.

Virtual health is a great option for many, but what if you’re not the most tech-savvy? What if your internet access is unreliable? Or what if you just need help explaining your ailment to the doctor?

It is important to MD Connected to increase our patients’ access to healthcare in an easy and efficient way, so finding a solution for those who need assistance was critical. That is why MD Connected has set up telemedicine clinics in convenient locations with partners such as Rexall, Metro, and many more across Canada. Our goal is to add telemedicine clinics to underserviced communities that lack physicians to provide a quick and convenient solution for patients to see a doctor.

How a Telemedicine Clinic Works

A telemedicine clinic works like any other walk-in clinic, only the doctor will communicate with you remotely through a large screen in a private room and an on-site nurse will be a part of the encounter the entire time. The nurse will assist with triage, history taking, and use modern technology to help facilitate the appointment between the doctor and patient including the use of smart medical peripherals. We like to classify this as an “Assisted Virtual Visit” with highly trained medical practitioners helping to enable the visit and providing the best possible care. Secure video conferencing technology is used to ensure confidentiality of any information discussed.

MD CONNECTED KIOSKS

Need Quick and Convenient Care?

If you’re comfortable with using technology but don’t have access to what is needed for a virtual appointment, MD Connected thought of a solution for you as well! MD Connected has partnered with businesses throughout Canada to install not just telemedicine clinics, but secure self-help kiosks that can connect you with our physicians in minutes.

The kiosks are similar in nature to a virtual appointment with the major difference being that a team member, typically a pharmacist, is available to assist you at every kiosk location. You simply enter your information and reason for visit and a doctor will appear on the screen to assist you.

In many locations, you’ll also have the benefit of already being at a pharmacy to fill any prescriptions. Kiosks are just another way MD Connected strives to provide accessible care to all Canadians.
